A 700 can be wired many different ways, inside. It all depends on the year, and what it came out of. To know for sure, you'd have to pull the pan off. The "A" terminal should always be 12V in. The "D" terminal should be ground. The "B" terminal can be ran various ways.

The red wire is going straight from the connector to the lockup solenoid. If one of the connector pins is the ground, then what is the other one for?

"D" (Black) is ground. The "B" sends a signasl back to the computer to tell it when the transmission is in 4th gear.

What exactly are you trying to do? It's always best to put the same wiring in the vehicle that came out of it.

I'm gonna wire it up manually to a toggle switch.

I switched from a 6 speed.

I have read a bunch on it today and there seems to be different ways to hook it up. One being it will ONLY lock up in 4th, and another way of it locking up in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The latter is what I want because there are alot of 45mph roads around here and I'd like to have it locked in third.

So, will that be only using the A and D pins.. and just forget about the 4th gear pressure switch wire?

This will be a HUGE mistake! You have to have converter lock-up in 4th gear (unless the transmission is modified), or you'll burn up the 3-4 clutches. Most people get tired of having to manually lock the converter ALL THE TIME in 4th gear.
When we build "transplant units", we wire in a 4th switch, and a 4-3 pulse switch. You need a 2 prong normally open switch for the 4th port to do this on yours, though. Yours isn't even tapped for a 4-3 pulse. We run the "A" wire direct to the solenoid. the "D" wire is ran from the case connector to one side of the 4th switch, and from the other to the solenoid. This will give you lock-up in 4th only. We also suggest running a brake light switch, and a low vacuum switch. the BL switch will take lock-up out whenever you push the brake pedal. The LV switch will take it out of lock-up when you jump on the throttle, and also prevent lock-up at WOT (When you DON'T want it). We run both of these switches through the "D" (ground) side.

I never said I wasn't gonna lock it up in fourth gear! And I'll modify it when I get tired of manually doing it.

Is the switch on the far right the 4th gear pressure switch? And if so, what is the one in the middle?

Well, since no one seems to know how to do this, I'm just gonna use the 12+ in and the ground in. If that doesn't work, I'll try something else.
