a little help regarding slave cylinder

simple question , master cylinder line

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just finished replacing my clutch and putting it all back together. All is going well in life untill I try to put the master cylinder line back into the slave cylinder. I cant get the quick connect fitting back into the tranny. It does not apear to be damaged in anyway. I thought u just had to push it in and give it a small tug to make sure it is secure. It all fits just does not lock in. I realy dont want to go to the shop and tell them I got the transmision out in an hour but has taken me a day for somthing that seems so simple. A little confused any help would be appritiated thanks in advance.

Re: a little help regarding slave cylinder

are the little metal "teeth" inside the fitting in good shape?

is the plastic ring out of the way?

i did mine 2 time this past weekend for my clutch install...it just snapped in to place.
