What class are you planning to compete in?

Many don't allow Lencos.

If that were the case and you just had to go manual, I'd go with a Jerico.

It's going to be a custom job, no plug-n-play for this kind of application. Figure ~$7,000 in parts and a total of ~$10,000 if you have to pay someone to do the whole job.

Good luck. Lenco's are great trannies.

Yes, they are "streetable" though not exactly suited to a daily driver. They will happily go into any gear you pull the lever for with a pretty strong jerk (like a very hard shifting automatic). When you back off the throttle, the tranny will freewheel. When the revs pick up enough will engage again. The only time you use the clutch is when you come to a complete stop . I know a couple of people with them who do some street driving. The clutch packs will wear pretty quickly with street type use, but are easy to replace. The whole thing is very simple. They all leak oil, are very large, very strong, and expensive. ~$6,000 for a 5-speed "street" version.
