LCA/bracket question

I lowered my car some time ago and no problems with vibration. Recently I got around to having relocation brackets welded on and I installed adjustable lca's. Now when I hit 80 it get some noticable vibration. The torque arm is stock so I don't the pinion angle is a problem. I spent 1/2 a day adjusting the rearend side to side and also making sure that the conrol arms were exactly the same. Any reason for the vibration other than the poly bushings?? I placed the lca's in the lowest holes on the brackets. Should I move them up to the next one and see if that helps???

Re: LCA/bracket question

LCAs shouldn't induce vibration. I'd double check that your adjustable LCAs are set to the stock LCA length.

Re: LCA/bracket question

I have already disposed of the old ones. How do I know what the stock length is supposed to be?

Re: LCA/bracket question

I just measured my LCA's... they're 19.25" between the centers of the mounting "holes".

Re: LCA/bracket question

Thanks! I'll check mine tomorrow and see where it's at. Make any difference which hole it's in or do I just make the length right and then figure which hole it matches up to?? Which raises a thought. . . .what is the purpose of them being adjustable???

Re: LCA/bracket question

if your car is lowered throw it on the 2nd hole... if not put it on the first

poly bushing allow more road vibrations than the stock rubbers... you did have them greased right?

i just put on rubber/poly lcas and brackets and i didnt notice ****...

Re: LCA/bracket question

It is lowered so I will move it to the second and try that. I will grease them good again also and see if that helps. Thanks

The holes in the relocation brackets should be in an arc that allows a stock length LCA to use either hole. You can use the adjustment in the LCA's to locate the axle front to back, if necessary.
