trans seems to shift hard...could it be the rear end?

trans seems to shift hard...could it be the rear end?

like the title says...i changed the the the EPC solenoid...the fluid is good and the mounts are good. could the gears have too much slop in them. i mean after all i do have DR's on a panzy axle.

I don't think I've ever heard of a car shifting hard because the gears were loose. The transmission holds constant pressure on the gears, and even if they were loose, wouldn't lose slack on shifts. They would make a lot of noise if they were loose, also. What's an EPC? Electronic Pressure Control? If so, that could be the source of your snappier shifts.
