I've got a good one for you...

bare with me here I'll try to make it quick,

so the car acts like it has a faultly slave, won't disengage, so I replaced the slave, and it work correctly for about a block, so we pulled the tranny, saw that the pilot bushing was wollowed out, replaced it and I drove it, worked great, like normal for about 9000 miles.

then it started doing it again, pulled the tranny replaced the wollowed out bushing again, worked again. the input shaft didn't have any play, and isn't bent... but the very tip of it is slightly rounded off.

so we put it back together,

guess what... it isn't disengaging again, (here is another curve) unless I let it sit for a looong time then it works again for a little while.

long time=few weeks
little while= few miles

so instead of fixing the same thing and hoping for different results (def. of insanity) I'd hope the some wizard magically knows the problem here.

To me it kinda sounds like you have air in the hydraulics. Usually when you replace the slave there is a slight bit of air that works it's way in there. Even if you bleed it right there could still be some.

The bushing issue is kind of wierd..... the bearings are known to have some issues but the bushings seem to work better. I went with a bushing instead of a bearing and it's worked fine. Could be the bearing around the input shaft that could be worn down causing it to kill the bushing HTHs.
