i need help, iam having a hard time installing energy suspension torque arm bushing?

i need help, iam having a hard time installing energy suspension torque arm bushing?

i bought the energy suspension torque arm bushing part #3.1111G for my 00 camaro, it doesn't fit in the stock bracket? do i have to trim it? i cant close the two clamps around the bushing because its big, any ideas suggestions? thanks

I just did this last week.. I used the 3.111G also[so it should be the correct one]
Did you grind the rivets off the stock ones and remove both the rubber AND the metal from inside the brackets [you have to]
Mine was a bit tricky to compress, but it did without too much trouble..

^^^ what he said! I've just been involved in changing 2 of these in the last couple weeks......1 for my buddy, and 1 on mine. Once you've ground out the old rubber and rivets, the new one is tricky to get squeezed into place and get the nut/bolt started, but try using a pair of channel locks to hold the bracket together while you start threading the nut on (you may need an extra body there to give you assistance).

well i went back where i purchased it and i compared it to another one in the the box and yes it was differnt that the one i have, so i exchanged it and now it fits, thats weird how i got a different one in the first one i bought
