how much will gears help

how much will gears help

So what kind of a drop in time will I see in the 1/4 on my car when I go from 2.73s to 3.73s I was hoping for like 3 tenths but I was just curious

I'm not sure what you would get, but I have 3.73's in my 77 z28 and with not much done to the engine the gears givit the speed it has. I think you will get your 3 tenths and maybe a little more, but like I said I'm not sure

I went from 3.42's to 4.11's and put on a set of MT ET Streets, dropped hald a second.....the spohn drag bar and LCA's def helped!
