when my car was bought it has a slipping tranny. it was rebuilt with better parts. it blew up like 4000 miles later it took it like 20 sec's to find the gear after u put it in drive. car was bone stock at the time. rebuilt again with more better parts and a stall. no problems now. not sayin im not going to b/c ive been pretty easy on the car for the reason im afraid its gona go again. and i think it was about 1500 each time to fix it.

 

I thought russ moore was kinda pricey, I think like $1400 or somewhere around there. Sumitt City is on Coliseum. If your going west towards goshen rd its on the left side.

 

mine went out at 70k. i didnt lose any gears. i broke some plate that the mechanic who had been rebuilding trannies for 15 years said he had never seen break in a tranny before. I got the all out rebuild with carbon clutches, tranny cooler, shift kit, and the rest of the stuff except stall for $1100 and a 1 year warranty. -Michael

 

My car had 118K on it when I bought it. 700 miles later I lost 3rd and 4th.

I highly recommend you do a rebuild, in addition to a tranny cooler and a shift kit.

I think i will just want till mine goes and then rebuild it, i dont just have that money laying around lol thanks for your imput guys
