How hard will a 4L60E launch? *pictures inside*
I know everyone still loves to beat the 4L60E's performance and lifespan abilities up. We have them running in the 9's (1.39 60 ft.), but that's not as impressive as the attatched photo. One of our customers (William Granberry) sent me this picture this morning. This is a 3750# '96 Impala with a 396 Golen LT1, 4800 Circle D converter, 4:56 gears, and 10.5" Hoosier slicks. It ran 11.01 with a 1.43 60 ft. time. 2 things that will break a weaker transmission are weight an alot of torque. William has alot of both! This transmission was built nearly 3 years ago, so this isn't his first pass with the car. It's the same "Pro Race" unit we offer to everyone else.

Next picture is Sam Harvey. This is a lightweight, bolt on LS1 car. He's been 11.0 (last season) and ran 11.18 yesterday. How do you launch a stock motored car like this? Easy...The 4L60E's 3.08 first gear ratio. Sam routinely cuts bottom 1.4X 60 ft. times with a 4400 stall Yank. Again, this is one of our 'Pro Race" 4L60E's.

This is one of our customers from Alabama (David Driver). He called me last week twice. Sinday, he ran a 10.95. Wednesday night, he ran a 10.84 @ 124 MPH with a 1.48 60 ft. time. The amazing part is, this is an all motor, 383 LT1 in a car that weighs 3750#! Dave is running 4.10 gears and drag radials. This is another one of our "Pro Race" units. I'm still waiting for some good launch pictures of his car.

Thanks,
Frank

BTW, I'm not sure if anyone else followed this thread, but this is one of our "Pro Race" 4L60E's in this car.

Can't wait to get some nice pics of mine. The folks at the track said I was lifting both tires with my "Pro Race" 60E as well and I haven't even launched it as hard as it can go yet with a well preped track. Can't wait to get some pics of that. February will be my next track outing at the latest. Can't wait. Nice picks and as always a great product!

Not bad for 2 years of serious racing abuse and a few years of daily driver duty before that and it is only a CPT "Race Rebuild", I got it done before the Pro-Race were even available. When was that like 5+ years ago now, ehh Frank???
