A clutch that is going out will start slipping. I.E. you press the gas down and the rpm's rise but the speed doesn't, or not at fast as it should.

take it out on a highway or somewhere you can get up to cruising speed 55-60mph or so in 5th gear (OD gear) and mash on the gas, if your RPM's go up and car doesnt accelerate along with it, you're clutch is slipping

When mine went it didn't want to come out of gear...also...when you cut the car off it slid into gear just fine....leave her in gear and try to crank the car and the car would move with the clutch pedal fully depressed. Those are some of the same symptoms as a hydraulic leak also.
