how do i bleed ls1 slave????

how do i bleed ls1 slave????

i broke my tranny a couple of weeks ago and while i was pulling it out it poped the rubber seal in the slave and fliud started to leak out of it. do i need a new slave or is this one ok? and if its ok how do i bleed the system? any help appreciated

There is a hex-shaped bleeder tube that sticks out of the edge of the bellhousing where the braided hose goes into the bellhousing. It is on the drivers side, pointing upwards.... a little awkward to get at.

good luck, definately a PITA. pump the pedal a million miles an hour while that valve is open. Wait for a steady stream. they make some tool that helps you with it.

I also heard that the front end needs to be up higher than the bottom end because of the position of the master cylinder. Good luck, definately challenging.
