horse power loss

horse power loss

does anybody know the horsepower loss from a 10 bolt to a 12 bolt, and a 12 bolt to a 9''

The numbers I have seen published in National Dragster by Evan
Smith indicate:

Dana 60: 5%
GM 12-bolt: 7%
Ford 9-inch: 10%

Have never seen published numbers for the 10-bolt.

Those above numbers plus the tranny, drive line & other losses still add up to about 15/18% for a manual and 20/24% for a auto. These are averages and NOT absolute values.
