horrible grinding noise

last night i won $260 at the casino. and on my way home i was putting it into 6th and when i let the clutch out and gave it some gas i heard this god awful grinding noise. my first thought was that i stripped out 6th gear somehow. but then it started doing it every gear. so i pulled over and i started to go very slowly home. the car was fine until it reached about 1800 to 2000 rpms (thats when the noise starts) then i thought it was my torque arm (my friend just replaced his he had a similar problem recently) and said he could drive it very slowly home, which is how mine was acting. well luckly i was only 3 miles from home and on the way is my buddys shop i called my buddy and he came out and listened to it and thinks it's the clutch. the noise is comming from the front of the car so i don't think it is the rearend. does anyone know what the deal might be? we are going to look at it this evening but i would appricate any input from you guys. thanks Brett. looks like that $260 will come in handy.

Mine makes a weird grinding sound just after I initiate the new gear and let off the clutch. Doesn't really matter at what RPM... We might have the same problem...
