I got ahold of a free 12 bolt rearend out of a early leaf spring car or truck. It is a 3.08 open rear. I was thinking this, I was going to have moser shorted the housing $85 and buy the axles from them. My uncle is a welder/fabricator/machinist by trade weld the brackets and torque arm bracket. I can get ahold of a posi diff and gears cheap. Has anyone ever done this? I know that he is more than capable of doing this. I am not worried about the ABS.
