Hitting Rev Limiter

Hey everyone,

I did a search and came to the conclusion that I may need to adjust my TV Cable in order for compensate for a mild stall (about 2000). I hit the limiter on the 1-2 shift. Are my assumptions correct?? Thanks.

Make sure that at WOT the TV cable is tight, with a 1/16" play at the maximum. Check fluid level, and now try it & see what happens?

I'm having trouble adjusting the TV cable. It seems there is supposed to be a tab to adjust it, but somehow my car is missing it. It seems I can move the cable shell with out a tab. I don't think that's right. Is there a picture out there of how a 1993 Z28 tv cable is supposed to look?? That might help.

Also, when the tv cable is at WOT, it is supposed to be tight. Well mine isn't. No matter how far I move the cable shell toward the firewall, when at wide open throttle, the tv cable never gets tight. This is assuming I'm adjusting the right cable. Help please. Anybody. Thanks.

Well I gave Frank a call at CPT, and he pretty much told me I may need a new TV cable. Just wondering if the replacement universal TV cable from TCI will work on my 93 Z28. Dealer here say the part I'm looking for has been discontinued. Thanks.
