high stall

ok i may not get another mod until spring, but i just want to think ahead. i think the next big mod i should get is a high stall torque converter. i dont know much about those though. first, how much do they cost? which one should i think about getting? how high of a stall should i get? lastly, will my car pretty much still work well as a daily driver? thanks

it's the one single best mod for an A4 LS1 car
$400-1,500
depends on your budget. low budget= TCI and others medium= Yank, Vig. and others high=coan and others
3500-3800
lower=better daily the higher you go the less street friendly but, 3500 isn't a problem

Absolutely the best mod you can do for an A4. As far as which one to get that is hard to say. But here is my 2 cents:

Daily driver that wants to stay streetable and rarely or never sees the track then I recommend TCI SF3000 ($420). If you can afford it and want the best then I recommend a Yank SY3500 ($900 I think).

Daily driver that will see a fair amount of track time and are willing to run drag radials on the back, then I recommend TCI SSF3500 ($480). If you got the bucks to spend then I recommend Yank SS3800 ($1,000 I believe). These are also great choices if you are going to spray.

Street driven car that is going to see a lot of track time and does not mind some "loose" feeling then I recommend a TCI 4000 or if you got the money then a Yank SS4000.

Track only car that will have slicks then a Yank PT4400 is the way to go.

No matter what stall you buy you must get a tranny cooler. They only cost about $50 and will prevent the premature destruction of your transmission caused by the extra heat 3000+ stalls cause. Shift kits are also a good idea but not a must.

Good Luck
