Help trans issues staying in 4th 4L60E

Ok here is the story with my car. I pulled it out of storage recently. I drove it for 2 weeks with no problems. Then one day driving home in the car it wasn't shifting back from fourth. I can start it and it will drive fine. It will shift and drive fine. After 30 seconds and when i go into fourth gear it stays there. As soon as i stop and take off again it takes of very slowly and doesn't ever shift. I can get it to go into and gear by putting the gear shifter into 1 or 2 but if its in overdrive or drive it takes off in fourth. All of the started after taking it out of storatge and breaking a trans mount.

Thank You

Andy

Actually its more likley is starting in 3rd limp mode which is probably and electronics failure, Have you had the car scanned. Also check that the harness is plugged in on top of trans good , Sounds like your loosing B+ voltage to the trans.

thank you for the quick response. I was going to scan it yesterday but issues with the girlfriend prevented that. I just scanned it with autotap and its showing po785? i think, shift timing solenoid. You where also right it was starting in third not fourth. Is this problem most likely the harness on top or the solenoid itself?

Thank You
andy
