HELP with T56 to T5 swap!?!?!?

HELP with T56 to T5 swap!?!?!?

My 96 Z28 T56 is tore up, but I have a T5 out of a camaro. How hard is it to swap this out? Can I run the T56 clutch in the T5 and just swap out the rear tail shaft housing for the torque arm set up? Will the same driveshaft work? And what else will I need to do to do this swap? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

I take it you are behind a 300+hp lt1? you realize that t5 is going to break right. I have no idea why people just take a t5 and stick it behind an engine with more than 250 hp.... they break. Unless you rebuild them with stronger parts. Thats why GM never stuck them behind anything bigger than a 305. Just saying.. You will be putting ALOT more money into it than you may think in order to keep driving it.

(wait.. what year did the t5 come out of? v8 or v6?)

+1. Your LT1 will destroy a T5. It will cost less in both time and money to just have your T56 rebuilt. There are a few places you can look into. Try these:
