Help with reinstalling Slave Cylinder

what's the procedure for reinstalling the slave cylinder. Seems the clutch fork wants to pop out after bolting the slave back up and then trying to press on the clutch. Tried several times with the same results. What am I doing wrong? What position should the clutch fork be in when bolting the slave up to it? Thanks......

Re: Help with reinstalling Slave Cylinder

Just a note since I was there helping with the install in question.

Before bringing down the tranny, I just "popped off" the clutch fork by pulling it down as I've been told to do many times (before that I've always unbolted it, a real pain lemme tell ya).. Anywho, popped off with not too much effort to get it off, but not so easy that it would just pop off if it got nudged.

After getting the tranny back up with the new clutch/pressure plate assembly (if it makes a difference, it's a Spec Stage 4), now whenever I go to push the clutch fork back in, it just pops off too easily for me to be sure its on. The one time I did get it all back on there, pressed the clutch and "thunk" off it went.

It goes in and catches, but doesn't seem to grab and hold.

What is wrong here?
