help from others with a 9inch

i have a nine inch that i bought from a friend that had it in his car first i believe that it is a mosier but my question is he had no rear swaybar and i was wondering what i would need to do to make a stock rear swaybar work with the nine inch. i have seen something on thunderracing but it was like 90 bucks i think and dont really have that to spend and was wondering anyone else has done this without the thunderracing kit.

You're going to need a swaybar mount kit from BMR that includes brackets and endlinks to mount it to the 9". 9" housings use 3.25" tubes (at least mine does), so you'd need p/n SMK003. Check BMRs website for more info.

I ordered the mount kit, but have not installed my rear bar yet. I have upgraded to the 21mm BMR, however, so I needed the SMK004. Good luck.

Re: help from others with a 9inch

I used my factory rear sway bar on my nine inch. I used some muffler clamps that matched the diameter of the 9inch axle housing, I can't remember what size. I had to chop apart and modify the factory sway bar mounting brackets, you will need a welder for that. This took me about an hour to do. Once mounted I had interferance with one of threadded tubes that the torque arm bracket bolts to. So I had to grind alittle on the threadded tube. Thats what I did to use me factory sway bar.
