Hey, my 94Z has the stock 2.73's and im upgrading to the 3.42's. what exactly is the carrier? is mine a series 2? i was looking at richmond gears and they have "thick" gears for people that have to upgrade from 2.73's, if someone could tell me everything i will need for this that would be great!, thanks

 

You do need the thick gear for that gear change , its a 2 series carrier, You will probable need a gear install kit , with shims and crush sleeve ETC.
