Help!!! Clutch Master Cylinder Installation

Any tips on re-installing the clutch master cylinder. The U-bolt is diabolical. Only thing I can see would be to remove the brake vacuum booster, and that doesn't look like a picnic either. Any tips greatly appreciated.

Re: Help!!! Clutch Master Cylinder Installation

I came across a post a week or so back in searching for something else that spoke of replacing the U-bolt with to normal bolts. Seemed to make things a ton easier, but I can't speak for whether this is a good idea or not.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for you.

Re: Help!!! Clutch Master Cylinder Installation

i changed the clutch master cylinder in my 3rd gen, alot more room than a 4th gen and i still had to remove the brake booster

but trust me once i removed the booster the master cylinder was ALOT easier to access, and u dont always have to disconnect the brake lines from the brake master cylnder just to get the booster out, who wants to bleed their brakes to fix their clutch?
