Guys with ProTorque converters inside....

I'm running a 3200 10.5" lockup Protorque converter.

I was wondering what would be the best launch technique to get out of the hole hardest on motor and a 100 shot. 12-bolt is going in next week, so don't worry about my rear

You need to experiment. Try some different things, keep a log so you can analyze the results.

Matt,
What's the car footbrake stalling at? I come out at footbrake stall. Alot of it also depends on your traction situation.

Re: Guys with ProTorque converters inside....

The tires break loose around 2400-2500 RPM's. I tried launching at 2,000 with my other tires, and I got bad wheel hop (I guess because the suspension was loaded beforehand). I haven't tried it yet on the Mickey Thompsons, so I'll give it a shot.

Also, is it safe to flash the stall on a 100 shot, or should I set my window switch higher?

The car will start to move against the brakes or just start spinning the rears if you try to stall the converter against the brakes. Like I said, it's going to require some trial and error. In the end, most of what you learn will be negated when you change the equation by swapping in the 12-bolt, so really don't sweat it.

Well, the car is down until the 12-bolt is in, so we don't need to worry about knowledge being negated

Basically what I'm saying is, if I tried to launch at a higher PRM, when I launched, I got wheel hop. When I went off idle/1000/1200 RPM's, I never had the problem.
