Gears grinding, Hard reverse gear
Gears grinding, Hard reverse gear
My T56 is hard to put in reverse sometimes, especially when warm. It also happens to forward gears say at a stop light waiting to go green. I changed the trans fluid with DexIII and the problem seemed to go away for a month or so (maybe 500 miles). Problem is back. No sign of leaks. Can't figure that an adjustment is needed. Clutch doesn't slip or anything like old school. Any ideas? Thanks alot.
Re: Gears grinding, Hard reverse gear
As far as I know the drivetrain is stock. Why would the clutch stick sometimes and not others? It seems consistant with the oil change. If it were syncros, wouldn't it do it all the time?
Re: Gears grinding, Hard reverse gear
when my 3rd gear synch started to go it only did it when I hard shifted into 3rd , and only around 1/4 of the time doing that, so it didn't do it all the time. Do ALL of your gears grind?
Re: Gears grinding, Hard reverse gear
They don't grind when I am driving or shifting gears on a roll. At a stop light, (when it is acting up) it is hard to put in any gear. If you put it in slow, it will grind but still go in. It's all gears, not just some or just reverse.
