gear in my A4

I wanted to get input on some gears, I have an auto in my 01 and was wondering if i should go with a 3.42 or 3.73 if there is much of a difference. I drive the car daily and currently have 2.73 right now.

I am running 3.42s in mine. I would go with the 3.42s and a stall.

id have to agree with the 3.42's. i have 3.73's and they are not good highway/dd gears imo. some will disagree and do ok with even 4.10's like captain pete. what are your goals with the car?

Right now its stock with a cutout and someone recommended a gear. I plan on some headers and maybe a catback. Maybe in a couple of months a cam...nothing too wild..just a nice setup for the street.
