I just had Motive 4.10s put in my A4 and they are very nice also had my PCM tuned for shift points bad thing is the howl you get with a gear change. You are gonna get different answers with this question on which brand to buy.

GM Motive's are supposed to be the quietest out of all available. Also they're known for being some of the better gears as well. I recommend those, you can't go wrong.

I have ran motive and richmond.
DO NOT USE RICHMOND-If setup correctly, the whine from these gears is not too bad, but they break pretty easy. I went through 3 sets of 4.10's on street tires with a stock clutch, and it always broke on the street.
I put a set of 4.10 motive's in my buddies 96 SS, they were as quiet as the originals. He had a set of 3.73 gears that were some off brand, and they howled to no end.

I would say, go motive or don't do it
