finished the th350 swap and wow
finished the th350 swap and wow
i just done my th350 swap to my 94z and it was not the hard at all.
here's a list of what i've done:
-use th350 long tail.
-stock drive shaft.
-stock flexplate.
-stock cross member but done a 5 min job to make it work.
-th350 dipstick (not to bad at all).
-use a 7" tail shaft.
-made a 2" spacer to put between the transmition and the tail to make it an 9" tail shaft as origonal (helped alot) the spoeedo meter is working.
-use the stock torque arm (thats all because i use the 2" spacer ) i really recomend doing it .it will save you alot of time and $$$.
i put an after market shifter but the stock one will do the job with a lettel work, use a tci 3000 stall and full manual B/V.
the result with the th350 swap was unbelivable the car run so great i can really feal a diffrence, but the only think that i didn't expect it was the driveabilite . the car are no longer dd for me b/c it turned out that at 60mph the rpm will be close to 3k and i don't think this is good for the engine to drive more than 3k for a long distance. just my o2. things may varife for other people.by the way i only have 323's at the back also i've beaten a 350z on my first test drive
.
any comments would be great

Re: finished the th350 swap and wow
in my personal opinion and for what i have seen the th350 is so beter than the 4l60e maybe it because of the stall and the valve body is full manual so i don't have the old 60e problems such as bouncing the rev and not shifting at wot.also i have the advantege of the full control of the tranny and don't forgiet the shifter
i'm not saying that the 4l60e is crap , i'm saying the th350 is beter for me and my futur plans. the 4l60e is a good tranny if you know how to build it also it cost more $$$ to build one
i feel that my car with a th350 and all that staff i have with it is more lighter at take off's and acceleration is so beter . again i'm talking about me and my personal experence with it and it's up to you . if you need any more help, pics or video send me a pm and i will be happy to help you
