fbody 10 bolt in an s10?
fbody 10 bolt in an s10?
Not sure if anyone will know the answer, but I know zero about s10s so I figured it couldnt hurt to ask.
A guy from a local car forum is interested in buying the 10 bolt rear out of my 94 camaro (abs, disc brakes, no traction control). He has a 1990 s10 ex cab.
Is there any way he can make this fit cheaply and work for his truck? I don't know of the length of his current rear end nor its setup, I'm assuming he either has the wheels that came with the truck or he would be willing to change them to whatever makes the rear a better fit. If it can be done, I might have 1 less 10 bolt rear end to deal with
so let me know if you have any experience with s10 rears. Thanks.

10 bolt
i doubt it the s10 is a leaf spring rear the f-body is coil springs you would have some major fabrication to get it to fit spring perches some form of torque arm bracket lower control arm brackets all would need to be fabricated
first your rear is wider then our's, second he would have to weld on a spring perch for the leaf springs to be mounted, you can how ever swap over the disc brakes over to the stock s-10 rears, theres a how to posted on a s-10 forum if you need a link just e mail me, gears and differential should be the same as long as the rear's are the same size, so of us got lucky in the later years with 8.5 rears stock
