Extreme vibration and "clunking"

So it started as a faint "clicking" noise that decreased with speed that I would barely hear when coming to a stop, then shortly after a clutch dump at a stoplight, a really bad vibration under the car when accellerating. Right after that, on the highway, going ~70 I could just hear a "grinding" noise that made me think the rear end was crying bye bye.

But, I get it home, leave to go to work, and I am hearing extremely loud CLUNKing from under the car along with an extreme vibration, I could not drive over 30mph...sounds and feels as if the whole drivetrain is going to break off from underneath the car and fall out!

I thought maybe U-joints...I pulled the driveshaft and they seem to be perfectly fine, still have grease, no looseness...

?????????

-There is none of this at idle or revving when stopped

-Only does it in gear while moving

-If the trans is in nuetral while im moving, it stops and is normal

-If I press in the clutch while moving, it stops and is normal

-The vibration/clunking increases with vehicle speed

-If I touch the gas while moving the vibration is even worse

-The vibration and noise is so bad that the car is not driveable!

Your going to have to drop your tranny so you can look at your clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing the problem sounds like it's coming from that area. And the worst case senario would be the transmission. I hate drivetrain problems, but hey it comes with the territory. Good luck man...

It was the rear end. Ring and pinion were broken.
