Is it easy enough to change the transmission tail shaft bushing with regular tools and no need for any specialty tools??

When my drive shaft is in the slip yoke inside the tail shaft assembly I can move the slip yoke side to side about 1/16 of an inch at most, is this too much play or normal?

On the 700-R4 tails, it's not bad at all.

Now the T56 F-body & GTO tailhousings are a pain.

 

Not trying to be smart or anything but to clear up my own confusion yes I have a 700r4 (4l60) but it is also an F Body,,, when you refer to F Body do you mean the 4l60e??

Just want to be sure as I don't want to pull it apart and then be snookered with a job I cannot do.
