Driveshaft removal??

Hey guys. I'm attempting to install a UMI adjustable torque arm w/driveshaft loop onto my S60. I'm trying to get my driveshaft off and it doesn't seem to want to budge. I've taken off the U-bolts at the rear and I was under the impression the driveshaft just slides forward into the transmission a bit, then down and back out. Is there something I'm missing?

You generally have to pry it forward at the rear u-joint with a tool to act as a lever.
