Question Driveshaft recommendation

Good day,

I would like to know if anybody has experience with "Shaftmasters" aluminum driveshafts.

I wish to eliminate unwanted 90+ highway vibrations on my stock 97 LT1.

What caught my attention about this particular ds is that it's filled with poly-foam as a sound deadener and has a .125" wall thickness.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Never heard of "Shaftmasters". I know Denny's Driveshafts makes a very high quality driveshaft. I have never head anything bad about them except them being slow sometimes because they're so busy.

I have a Denny's "nitrous ready" driveshaft, I would recommend them.

Take a look at "Good Sources for Driveshafts"

Thanks, I've already seen that list.. I'll probably go with shaftmasters DS.
They offer full length internal sound deadener (poly-foam) to help reduce NVH, as well as HD American made U-joints...
Just wanted to know if anyone had experience with them...

IMO - the "full-length internal sound deadener" sounds like BS. A properly made DS which is properly balanced and aligned... won't make any noise or have any vibrations that would need deadening.

Maybe an overkill, but the stock LS1 ('99-02) does have some type of carboard inside. The fact that it comes with it doesn't imply that it's not built to good standards, IMO. They are 'high speed balanced'.

I've heard great things about the LPE, but its out of my budget - wish to keep it within the $300 range, thanks.

LOL!... ok. I'm not saying it's overkill at all, just a marketing gimmick.

Denny's is local for me, and he KNOWS his ****; I've had many stand at the counter and BS conversations with him. His Nitrous Ready shaft is guaranteed against breakage, and very much high-speed balanced. If you want to see how good of a shop and shaft it is, find out what RPMs they balance their shafts to. I know the NR shaft I have was balanced upwards of 7k. Most shops do 3-4k.

Regardless, I hope whatever you go with works for you and you're happy with.
