Does anyone think about a clutch explosion?
Does anyone think about a clutch explosion?
How serious is it when a clutch comes apart? I asked the board a REALLY long time ago about using a universal trans blanket. Does anyone care to input on this?
What are high HP M6 using?.....Stock bellhousing?

Re: Does anyone think about a clutch explosion?
I thought about it a lot. It doesn't even really take high HP levels. It's really the RPM and shock loading that kills them. I went with a Mcleod SFI blowproof bellhousing and an SFI rated disk and PP. I like my tootsies.

Can you tell me more about the bellhousing? Price and other?
What about a 'transblanket' on the stock M6? Does anyone do this?
Not something I want to lose my feet over!

Back when I was running the T56 and Street Twin, I had a trans blanket that was converted to work with the stock LT1 bellhousing. You can see from the date on the blanket that it was a long time ago.
And I don't know where it came from, since I bought it with the used Street Twin.

With my TH400, I run an UltraBell.

I running a kevlar bellhousing blanket, it looks like Injuneer's photo. I bought it from Exotic Muscle about 5 years ago. Not sure if it's still manufactured.
