Do I need a new slave cylinder?

Whenever I push in my clutch pedal, the pedal starts to vibrate like crazy and when I release it, it slowly comes back out. I think it's hitting against the pressure plate since it's vibrating. I can't change gears what-so-ever when the car is on. When the car is off, it goes into any gear. The clutch or transmission make no noise at all. I've searched the forums but trying to get more detail about this. Sad thing is the car is just sitting there now. Anyone know this problem?? Also, the clutch it has now is about a year old.

Is the slave cylinder hard to remove?

Thanks,

Johnny
