How do I disable it?

push the "ASR off" button on the dash or center console.

if you don't have the button...you don't have traction control

I don't think they actually made the traction control option available until 1995.

I get a light sometimes on my dash that says trac something. It only lights up sometimes when I lose traction and stays on for a couple of secs. I have no button to turn it off.

You don't have traction control. Ignore the light.

that's just a little dummy warning light to show you that the rear tires are spining more than the front.

it isn't traction control.

"LOW TRAC" lights up when the ABS activates.
