Differential Gear Problems??

Hey everyone,

I am having some mechanical noise coming from the back of my car, it sounds as if it was coming from the rear wheels. Every time I'm coming to a stop I hear the noise, it' sounds as if it were a loose caliper, sounds like metal hitting metal. I have checked breaks and caliper, all is good. I can also hear the noise when I start moving, but as I gain speed and do my normal driving it's gone.

Any ideas where this noise is coming from? Could it be from the differential ??

I'd try asking in the drivetrain forum.

Check all the rear end mounting/pivoting points.
