difference between 6@8 cly rear and

I was woundering what the difference is between the two. Is the 6 cyl a limited slip differential like the 8 cyl ,does it have 342's. Help I am in need of a cheep and quick fix. Thanx

What generation/year are tou talking about. The 4th Gen base V6 rear has an open differential and drum brakes. The posi and disc brakes were options.
