currie 9" interchangability lt1 to ls1?

have a buddy with a built currie 9" rear w/ 4.10s and a detroit locker...currently bolted into his 97 LT1.

he wants a more street freindly setup (gears and sound) and is willing to do a straight up trade... for my 10 bolt.

will the rear end interchange between the 2 cars (mine in the sig)?? ABS? traction control? brake lines? calipers/rotors?

if not...how hard would it be to convert? could i just leave the ABS unplugged? and the TCS?

info wanted...this sounds like a killer trade. i think he paid something like $3000 for this rear.

if nothing else i'll use it for a little while till i can sell it...then buy a more street friendly (would rather have 3.73s and no locker) setup with the $$

If you have traction control you have a 4 channel rear, if you just have abs its a 3 channel.

i guess it's a 4 channel.

if this is not compatible...would the swap still work just that i wouldn't have ABS anymore?

what about brake brackets?

holy ****.... if you don't want it please let your friend know that I will take it on the spot plus some $$$

That's *exactly* what I need for my 97... right gearset too.

haha...yeah...i may actually do that.

i'm not sure the hassles of swapping the rears will be worth it...since i really don't need the rear yet...and it's a bit bigger than i had planned for.

maybe he'll split the $$ you'd give him...kindda like a finders fee

Keep me up to date man... I can even do the swap for him

I have a set of Strange 3.73's in mine, not making any noise.
