Cryo-treated gears?

Has anyone heard of cryo-treating rear end gears? Being the main weak point of the 10-bolt rear, if it would work, I think it would help immensely.

Has anyone looked into this?

Re: Cryo-treated gears?

It does work, but the point is its still a 7.5 or 7.625(whichever) 10-bolt. It will only last a little longer.

When I blew a 10-bolt in a friends car everything was toast even the housing, so I dont think the gears are the only weak point.

How much are they charging to do it?

I haven't looked into pricing....I honestly don't know where to look. Do you have any recommendations?

I might be willing to experiment with this, assuming it won't cost an arm and a leg.
