Cracked Flexplate??? ON AN AUTO

The guy who did my headers Said he saw that either my flexplate was cracked, or something directly in front of it or around it was

Im guessing that ticking sound I hear when im in Drive and stopped at a light is a result of this Cracked piece??..It stops making the sound when im driving over about 10mph though..and it does it when stopped and in Reverse...It's only notceable when im stopped though..

Heres the thing, the car has had about 40 miles put on it since that sound started..Anyone have any ideas????

BTW: I had the transmission rebuilt less than 1K ago..

Re: Cracked Flexplate??? ON AN AUTO

My idea would be to look and see what is broken! Sure, a flexplate can crack. Any mechanical component can fail. Some flexplates are stronger than other but any part can fatigue, be overstressed, or have defect, or be damaged.
