cracked!

Hey I just wanted to know if I really need to buy a whole new tranny because my 4L60E had a screw come lose inside the bell housing and it has cracked my bell housing If its possible to just get a new housing I would like to know. I just want to know my options. If I have to get a new tranny if any of you have a 4L60E you could get to me that would be great.

Re: cracked!

A cracked bellhousing can usually be welded, depending on the location and size of the crack. Where is the crack? How did a loose screw cause the bellhousing to crack though?
