Question Corvette Servo firmness question

Is the clearance between the two halves of the servo supposed to be a lot tighter than the original servo? There is a big difference on mine and it has me concerned. Once on the transmission, the new servo pushes in much harder than the original one too. There shouldn't be excessive wear on my original servo because the trans. only has 37,000 miles on it. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
