Connecting clutch mc to slave
Connecting clutch mc to slave
This is for my '35 Ford coupe I am putting an LT1/T56 in. I have an aftermarket clutch mc/brake mc combo. The stock line pushes in and locks with a pin (line show in bottom in pic) was used to connect the clutch mc to the slave cylinder, but my new clutch mc requires the line to be screwed in to the back of the clutch mc.
the top line show in the pic is a braided line im using for the rear brakes (i just got it out to try and figure out how to do this). If i buy a new braided line i have the connection at the clutch mc figured out, but the slave I have still requires a line that pushes in and locks with a pin. Am I going to have to buy an aftermarket slave where the line screws in? do they even make them? or maybe there is a connection that is threaded on one end and pushes in on the other??
thanks

I did, but it's too late now...i already spent the $500 on this set up
since i wanted to mount the brake MC under the floor i decided i would rather have both pedals coming from under the floor instead of the brake under the floor and clutch swinging from the firewall.
is there any easy "fix" you can think of? how do other slave cylinders attach in other transmissions? Thanks

In case you haven't already, I'd suggest you call Earl's, Russell or Aeroquip and explain what you are trying to do. They may have the appropriate end fittings in house and can make up a line for your situation or supply a short line and transition adapter as a solution.
Good Luck with the project.
