Clutch won't disengage

Guys,

Here's the scenerio:

If the car's engine is turned off, I can put it into gear, start the car and the car moves. If I pull it out of gear into neutral and then try to put into another gear, it won't get into any gear. The only time I can get it into gear is when I turn the car off and put it into gear. What do you suspect is the problem. I have the LS1 and T56 package.

Thanks.

Ok...just put in a new clutch disc, pressure plate and slave cylinder and that solved the problem. The clutch disc was completely wiped out...no pads were left on the disc.
