Clutch slave and master cylinder...

Im doing a T-56 swap on my car and the previous car i took the transmission out of shifted fine and the clutch was fine aswell. When i Disconnected the slave cylinder from the transmission the clutch would no longer "depress". So i put the pedals on my car today along with the clutch slave/master cylinder and it still wont move. I was wondering if i haveto buy i new one or if theirs some way to "un-stick" it. I would love not to haveto take that damn thing off again, its such a pain in the ***.

Re: Clutch slave and master cylinder...

Your question should be posted in the Drivetrain Section. If you depress the clutch pedal with the slave cylinder disconnected you're destroy the slave cylinder. It's travel length needs to be limited to the throw of the clutch fork. Try pressing the rod, by hand, into the slave cylinder, while disconnected from the tranny to verify actuation of the slave cylinder.
