Clutch recommenation

I have a bottle-fed '95 LT1, and it's finally in need for a new clutch (still on orginal clutch with 127k).
I've narrowed it to a centerforce dual friction or a Spec stage 2. Any of you LT1 guy's have good or bad experience with either or any other around $500?

Im stock, and Im running the SPEC S1 and it grips hard. I dont get any Clutch Slip whats so ever. I have run it on the track and it grips Fine. On the road It chatters a little but I think thats b/c the Clutch plate is warped. Other than that its a great Clutch. An S2 from SPEC should be good for you. The D/F Centerforce is pretty expensive but they are very good. I'd say for the best bang for the buck, SPEC is the way to go.

i have a 94 LT1 and my clutch is starting to slip also... i have been researching clutches for awhile and have talked to/read a lot of opinions. well today i ordered a centerforce DF from Jegs for $581. after calling a local perf. shop and hearing there horror stories about spec's coming back over and over i went with the DF. between the two i would play it safe and get the centerforce. Spec seems to be to much of a luck of the draw kinda thing.

Honestly Bro, You will hear the same thing about McLoed or DF clutches. Depends on who you talk to.

I went with the stage 3 spec and their steel flywheel. Everything went together smooth. Your mods are very similar to mine. I spray it with 150 shot a few times a week. It's been in there a year now with none of the other issues some claim to have. It grips very good and holds fine on the bottle. Just take your time with the install and I highly recommend their flywheel at the same time. I got it when it was on sale at Tbyrne.
