Post Clutch pedal vs. slave travel for custom setup

Is there a Factory Service Manual avail for download for the LT1?

I need the specs of normal distance travel for this clutch/slave movement as I'm swapping it into a custom setup with adapter to my G54b engine on the Starion and need proper engagement.

I have the LT1 T56, master & slave, and am using LT1 clutch on a custom Fidanza flywheel made for the Starion 2.6 block which had 350hp before and expecting 450 or so after head porting and bigger roller cam, etc. hence the need for this trans to be right. Thanks in advance for good info, links, etc.

Re: Clutch pedal vs. slave travel for custom setup

I found LT1 service manuals on ebay years ago. A very good deal. I had once worked for GM. Back then they allowed pdf down loads of the factory manual, but, not now.

I run a Spec set-up. 97ss LT1 383 with a D1 procharger. The stock disc did not hold. I used a Spec stage 3 4 puck. Held OK once it was run-in. They are hard on the pressure plate surface. Now going to a Spec 4 3_puck. I gind my own pressure plate for flat surface, but can be short lived when they are worn excessive.

The LT1 clutch runs very low clearance @ disengagement. It usually engages @ top of pedal travel.

I usually check this @ every clutch change. I will mod my actuator rod this Winter.

I think McLeod makes an adjustable LT1 actuator. Also a stock can be had @ Summit.

Hope this helps. B.
