Clutch grab?

Recently I went with a Centerforce DF381039 Dual Friction Clutch for my '95Z/M6. Now The car jerks at low speed cruising. Give it a little throttle and it runs fine. Is this possibly from the clutch? In the 20 years I've had the car I've never had it do like this. Makes the car real annoying in low speed traffic.

Re: Clutch grab?

I don’t remember anything like this when I was running a CF. The hold strength is better than stock.

Are you saying that at low speed, that you are in 1st gear and trying to leave it in gear and brake?

Spoiler

no, it's when I first take off from a start with just a slow roll, like in traffic. The car bucks like crazy. If I get on it slightly harder it accelerates fine. No trouble in any other gear.

Re: Clutch grab?

I’m trying to think back about 18 years into traffic with this clutch... I have had what you are describing and it sounds like RPM is too low. I would normal let about a car length in front of me then disengage around 1200. Does that sound about where you are having smooth engagement?

Re: Clutch grab?

Yeah, that's about right. Sometimes just blipping the throttle and then starting out.

Re: Clutch grab?

I would say it sounds normal then.
