clutch fork binding on release

clutch fork binding on release

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just bled system, pretty sure all the air is out. only now i press clutch to the floor with no release. goes in gear with engine off as normal. when i press pedal to the floor , half way on the release, the clutch seems to be caught , then i hear a pop by the trans and the pedal returns. i get this everytime i press and release. aslo does the slave push rod supposed to line up straight to clutch fork. mine is slightly at an angle. looking at it it seems, i could be wrong, that i should pull the fork out more. aslo i tried looking thru the fork boot, i can't see the groove were the pivot ball shound sit in. is it suppose to be a dip just like for the slave pushrod? aslo i have no idea about the thro out bearing. i bought the t5 the way it was and assumed it was in right. does anybody have picture of how the fork sits on the ball and maybe an example of how far the fork sticks out. the more pics the better

For what car/engine/tranny combo? They made F-Bodys for 36 years..... got to narrow it down a bit.

Going to merge this with your other clutch fork question.
